I have a problem!

In recent times, many of you have been coming to us with a wide range of problems and suggestions. Therefore, we would like to remind you of the proper ways to address your concerns and the right people to contact when resolving them.

It is important to understand that the trade union primarily deals with issues at a systemic, company-wide level on behalf of all employees across the Czech Republic. Individual problems should be addressed first and foremost by each employee themselves, and only if you do not receive help, or if the help is unsatisfactory, should you turn to us. From our position, we are not fully competent to resolve every individual issue. Nevertheless, we will always do our best to support you.

  • If, for example, you have a problem with a colleague, the first step is to tell that colleague that their behavior is inappropriate or makes you uncomfortable. If the situation does not change, or for any reason you do not wish to communicate with the colleague directly, the next step is to contact your immediate manager.
  • Other issues—such as those related to attendance, shifts or hours—should primarily be discussed with your immediate manager as well.
  • The next level is to communicate with and address the situation through your Unit P&C (People & Culture / HR department).
  • If the issue is serious, and you have not received a solution, or you are afraid to talk about it, you can report incidents to the Trust Line through the anonymous SPEAK UP web application or via the phone number 800 050 833 using access code 118298. You can also use the Ingka Group Trust Line portal – Ingka Group Trust Line.

If you have a problem or suggestion that you feel affects more employees, or even all IKEA employees, you can contact our union secretaries (see the "About Us" section) and share the information with them. You can also use the contact form below. Likewise, you can reach out to us if the help provided in the previous steps was unsatisfactory or if you did not receive any. Together, we will try to find another way to resolve the issue.
